Our Holy Land tour is special and unique! Dhanan has 35 years’ experience as an expository bible teacher and preacher both in Sri Lanka and overseas. He is a member of the international faculty of the Haggai institute. He has published numerous books and audio books on Christianity and law. His other passions are History and Geography. He has accompanied 14 pilgrim groups to the Holy Land as a bible teacher. He has also led 2 tours to Turkey and Greece to the seven churches of revelation and the Isle of Patmos and in the footsteps of Paul. Dhanan will be responsible for bible teaching and spiritual leadership on this tour.

Itineraries
Day 1
Beginning of Holy Land Tour
Departure from Colombo Arrive in Jordan. Amman is the Capital of Jordan, known in Biblical times as Rabbath Ammon. Meet your local representative who will assist in clearing immigration. Proceed for baggage collection Drive to Petra, Lunch en-route. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in PetraDay 2
Petra Group
Breakfast at the hotel. Walking tour of Petra this morning to visit the treasury and monastery. Lunch in Petra Return to the coach to transfer to the hotel in Amman. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in AmmanDay 3
Petra to Nazareth
Breakfast at the hotel Check out from the hotel and continue to drive to Allenby Bridge Border. Lunch en route at a restaurant. Arrive at the border control to complete immigration formalities. Nazareth Village
Breakfast at the Hotel. This morning visiting the Nazareth Village. Half-day tour enjoying the village of biblical times. Visit Mount Tabor -the Mount of Transfiguration - ascend the mount. Lunch en-route at a restaurant Later visit the Church of Annunciation (where Angel Gabriel appeared to Virgin Mary) and the Church of St Joseph (where St Joseph had his carpentry shop) then proceed to Cana of Galilee (The first miracle of water into wine). Return to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Meals included: Breakfast at the hotel. Lunch at a Restaurant. Dinner at the Hotel Nazareth.Day 5
Nazareth to Baniyas
Breakfast at the hotel This morning drive from Nazareth to Baniyas to visit Caesarea Philippi an ancient Roman city located at the southwestern base of Mount Hermon. The place where Jesus gave Peter the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Drive to Yardenit baptism site, where you have the opportunity to renew your baptismal vows at the Jordan River. Drive through Tiberius and then take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee (as taken by Jesus and his disciples) proceed to the shores of the Sea of Galilee. Lunch en-route at restaurant. Visit Capernaum (second home of Jesus) see the ancient Synagogue and the site of St Peter's House. Visit the Church of Primacy, the Church of Multiplication (the place where Jesus blessed the fishes and the loaves) and the Mount of Beatitudes (Venue of Jesus' sermon on the Mount) Drive back to Nazareth for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel. Haifa and Jaffa
Breakfast at hotel This morning drive to to Haifa the third largest city of Israel, the home of the Israeli Navy signifying the beautiful coast as it rises in splendour from the sea. Visit Mount Carmel Stella Maris the cave of Elijah the Prophet. Short stop at the Bahai Hanging Gardens of Haifa. Drive to Caesarea. Visit the Roman Theatre built by Herod the Great The remains of the Roman Aqueduct which provided water to the city of Caesarea. Lunch en-route at a restaurant Continue to Tel Aviv the commercial capital of Israel. Proceed to Jaffa the place where Peter raised Tabitha one of the disciples from the dead according to the Acts of the Apostles. Visit St.Peter’s Church. Visit the House of Simon the Tanner. Drive to Bethlehem to check in to your hotel. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in Bethlehem Meals included: Breakfast at hotel. Lunch at a Restaurant. Dinner at the Hotel in NazarethDay 7
Dead Sea and Masada
Breakfast at the hotel This morning drive along the shore of the Dead Sea to Masada. Explore Masada by Cable car view the ancient excavation of Herod's Palaces, bathhouse, the storerooms, the ramp, and the oldest Synagogue in the world. Visit Qumran where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. Proceed to Ein Gedi the place where David fled and hid from Saul even as he sought to kill him. Lunch at a Restaurant. Visit the Dead Sea/ Lowest place in the world /Saltiest Sea… so dense you do not sink but float on the surface. Drive to Jericho to view Mt of Temptation. Pass by the Inn of the Good Samaritan Proceed to view the Sycamore Tree which Zaccheus the tax collector climbed to see Jesus while he was passing this area. The old city of Jerusalem
Breakfast at the hotel This morning Enter the old city of Jerusalem through St Stephen's Gate (where St. Stephen was stoned). Visit the Pool of Bethesda (where the crippled man was healed after 38 years) Visit the Church of St. Anne. Later walk along the Via Dolorosa (Way of the Cross) with stops at every station. Then visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Mt. Calvary & Golgotha. Lunch at a Restaurant. Walk to Mount Zion proceed to the Upper Room and the Dormition Abbey. Proceed to Church of St Peter in Galicantu (the place where Peter wept when the cock crowed for the third time marking his denial of Jesus Christ.) Thereafter, visit the Dungeon where, as tradition says, Jesus was kept before he was taken to trial, Visit the Garden Tomb or Gordon’s Calvary. Communion service. Return to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay. Meals included: Breakfast at the Hotel. Lunch at a restaurant. Dinner at the Hotel in Bethlehem.Day 9
City of David
Breakfast at the hotel This morning visit the Western Wall (the Wailing Wall which is the most sacred place for the Jewish people) the Golden Gate (as tradition says… where Jesus made his triumphal entry into Jerusalem on Palm Sunday) Visit the Al Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock. Walk to the Pool of Siloam where Jesus sent the blind man to wash after he had covered his eyes with a mixture of clay and spittle. Visit the Hezekiah’s tunnel a tunnel built underneath the City of David in Jerusalem prepared by King Hezekiah for an impending siege by the Assyrians. Lunch en route at a Restaurant. Visit the Holocaust Museum also known as Yad Vashem the holocaust martyrs and heroes remembrance authority established in 1953. Visit the Israel Museum to see the model of the second temple. Dinner and overnight at the Hotel in Bethlehem Meals included: Breakfast at the hotel. Lunch at a Restaurant. Dinner at the Hotel in Bethlehem.Day 10
Mount of Olives
Breakfast at the hotel. Early this morning visit Church of the Nativity (birthplace of Jesus Christ) Visit Shepherds Field drive to Bethany to visit the House of Mary and Martha and the Tomb of Lazarus. Lunch at a restaurant Drive to Mt of Olives and visit the Church of the Ascension of Jesus; this is the place where Jesus ascended to heaven. You could see the footprints of Jesus on the rock. Walk to Pater Noster Church (Church of Our Lords Prayer). Chapel of Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept over the old city of Jerusalem. Visit the Church of Agony, Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations (Church of Gethsemane). Lunch en-route at a restaurant. Mount Nebo
Breakfast at the Hotel. Drive to Allenby Bridge to complete immigration formalities and enter Jordan Visit Madaba (Thirty kilometres south of Amman is Madaba where you see some of the finest Byzantine mosaics in the world. Most famous is the 06th-century mosaic Map Palestine, possibly the oldest map of the Holy Land in existence.) Lunch at a restaurant. Nearby, is the historic Mount Nebo which is believed to be the Tomb of Moses… it is a lonely, windswept hill with a remarkable view of the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea and the spires of Jerusalem in the distance.
